Removal and installation
Note: Removing the steering column combination switch is described in chapter "Steering".
− Before removing parts, remove the rear window washer motor assembly and washer reservoir assembly.
- Parts are removed in the order of the numbers shown in the figure "Removing the wiper and rear window washer".
Removing the windshield wiper and rear window washer. 1 - windshield wiper lever and chip assembly, 2 - windshield wiper motor assembly, 3 - nozzle, 4 - seal (remove the front and rear door trim, front side trim, rear pillar trim, rear side trim and rear seat 5 - washer hose.
− When removing the parts, pay attention to the procedure for removing the rear window wiper motor assembly.
Since the wiper motor is located behind the trunk lid torsion bar, to remove the rear window wiper motor, it is necessary to press the torsion bar to the amount necessary to remove the motor.
− Installation of parts is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
− When installing parts, pay attention to the following operations:
1. Installing the rear window wiper motor.
Depress the trunk lid torsion bar and install the wiper motor assembly.
2. Installation of the wiper arm and brush assembly.
Before installing the wiper arm and wiper assembly, operate the wiper motor until the motor stops in the auto stop position. Install the wiper arm and wiper assembly and adjust the position of the wiper assembly so that the auto stop position matches the nominal value "A".
Rated value "A" — 38±5 mm
− After completing the installation of the parts, install the rear window washer motor assembly» washer tank assembly.
Examination
1. Checking the rear window wiper motor on the car.
A) Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the motor.
b) To check the operation of the wiper motor, connect the wires from the battery terminals to the terminals of the wiper motor as shown in the figure.
V) Checking the automatic return to the original position.
- Turn on the wiper motor by connecting power as above, then disconnect the battery terminal wires and stop the motor.
- Supply power (from battery) to the motor terminals as shown in the figure, and make sure that after the motor starts rotating, it will stop in the automatic stop position (initial position).
2. Checking the washer motor.
A) Fill the washer reservoir with fluid when the washer motor is installed on the reservoir.
b) Connect battery power to terminals "1" (-) And "2" (+) washer motor as shown in the figure and check the fluid jet pressure.
3. Checking the direction of the water jet from the washer nozzle.
Adjust the direction of the water jet by moving the washer jet ball.
