Removal and installation
− Remove the boot sill trim before beginning to remove parts.
- Parts are removed in the order of the numbers shown in the figure "Removing the trunk lid".
Removing the trunk lid. 1 - trunk lid seal (remove the trunk side trim (left), rear seat, B-pillar lower trim, front side trim and accelerator pedal stop), 2 - trunk lid lock drive lever, 3 - trunk lid lock rod, 4 - trunk lid lock latch, 5 - buffer, 6 - trunk lid lock cylinder, 7 - trunk lid lock assembly, 8 - trunk lid bolt, 9 - trunk lid assembly, 10 - trunk lid torsion bar (right), 11 - torsion bar of the trunk lid (left), 12 - trunk lid hinge.
− When removing parts, pay attention to the procedure for removing the trunk lid torsion bar:
Install the special tool at the connection point of the torsion bar as shown in the figure, and while pushing the tool up, remove the torsion bar from one side.
Note: be careful when removing the torsion bars, the left and right torsion bars intersect in the center of the opening, so you must first remove the torsion bar closest to you in the intersecting part.
Attention: the special tool must be securely put on the torsion bar, otherwise it may pop out of the groove and damage body parts.
− Installation of parts is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
− When installing parts, pay attention to the following operations:
1. Installing the trunk lid seal.
Install the seal so that the markings and the joint of the seal are located as shown in the figure.
2. Installation of the torsion bar of the trunk lid (left).
Note: The right torsion bar of the trunk lid has an identification mark (red).
A) Set the end "A" torsion bar of the trunk lid into the installation hole "IN".
b) Set the end "WITH" torsion bar in position "E".
V) Using a special tool, move the end "D" torsion boot lid out of position "F" trunk hinges in position "G". At the same time, the end "WITH" torsion bar of the trunk lid will move to the position "H" trunk hinges.
3. Installation of the torsion bar of the trunk lid (right).
The installation of the right torsion bar of the trunk lid is carried out in the same way as the installation of the left torsion bar of the trunk lid.
− After completing the installation of the parts, perform the following operations:
- A) Install the trunk sill trim.
- b) Adjust the position of the trunk lid.
Checking the trunk lid lock switch
1. Check that the circuit is open between terminals "1" And"2" (weight), when the lever is in position "LOCKED".
2. Check that the circuit is closed between the terminals "1" And"2" (weight), when the lever is in position "UNLOCKED" (resistance less than 2 ohm).
