Adjustment (release from 9.88 to 4.89)
Set selector lever to position "N".
Loosen the 2 adjusting nuts on the engagement cable.
Set the manual shift lever to position "N".
Loosen the switch mounting bolts.
Rotate the start lock switch housing so that the end of the 12 mm thick manual shift lever aligns with the flange of the switch housing (also 12 mm thick).
Tighten both fixing screws in this position. When doing this, make sure that the switch housing does not move.
Pull cable slightly in direction -F-.
Tighten the adjusting nut -A- until it touches the adjuster. Lock nut -A- in this position.
Tighten nut -B- while holding nut -A-. Check the tightness of both nuts.
Vehicles from 5.89 to 3.92
Adjustment is made in the same way. In place of two adjusting nuts, the cable is fastened with one coupling nut. To adjust, loosen the nut and slide the cable through the slot in the manual shift lever.
