The fuel shut-off valve on the high-pressure fuel pump opens the fuel supply channel when the ignition is turned on. It should be checked when the engine does not start or continues to run after the ignition is turned off.
Turn the ignition on and off. When this happens, a clicking sound should be heard.
If a click was not heard, check for current in the wires with the ignition on. If there is no current, localize the defect according to the electrical circuit.
Remove the connector from the valve and use two auxiliary wires to apply battery voltage to the valve directly. The valve should now click.
Connect an ohmmeter to the valve contact and to the valve body. Required value: 9-12 ohms at about 20°C.
If no defect is found, remove the wires and unscrew the valve.
Screw in a new valve with a new O-ring and tighten. Put on a wire.
Remove air from the fuel system, see point 32.1.
