- ATF Dexron or Dexron II.
- Park the vehicle on a level surface, start the engine and let it idle.
- Repeatedly turn the steering wheel in different directions until the operating temperature of the fluid in the steering system is reached (about 50°+ 60°С)
- Turn the steering wheel repeatedly to the left and right until it stops. Caution: Do not leave the steering wheel in the end position for more than 10 seconds.
- Make sure that there is no formation of foam or cloudiness in the expansion tank.
Vehicles from 9.88 to 3.92
- Check the oil level in the tank with the engine running, add oil to the tank if necessary, left side of the figure.
- Be sure to top up with new oil, as even the smallest particles of dirt can lead to failure of the hydraulic system.
- start the engine and measure the level in the tank. If the difference is greater than shown in the figure, bleed the system, see 16.8.
- After topping up the oil, check the tightness of the system.
Release cars from 1.84 to 8.88
- Open the screw cap on the expansion tank with the engine running.
- The oil level must be between the MAX and MIN·marks.
