Checking the oil level

Check the oil level approximately every 1000 km and add oil if necessary. Oil consumption should be no more than 1 liter per 1000 kilometers. Higher flow is a sign of worn valve stem seals and/or piston rings or oil seals.

• When measuring the oil level, the vehicle must be on a level surface.
• The engine must be warmed up to operating temperature.
• After stopping the engine, wait at least 3 minutes for the oil to drain into the oil pan.
• Pull out the dipstick and wipe it with a clean cloth.

• Then insert the dipstick until it stops and pull it out again. The oil level must be between the MAX and MIN·marks.
• Add new oil only when the oil level approaches the minimum mark.
• Topping up is done through the oil filler neck on the cylinder head. Top up with the recommended oil, do not add additives.

Caution: Do not overfill above the MAX mark. When overfilling, suck off excess oil, otherwise gaskets and catalyst may be destroyed.
