- lift the car, see par. 29.
- Clean the brake pipes with a cold cleaner.
Attention: The brake pipes are coated with a plastic anti-corrosion layer. If this layer is damaged, corrosion of the tubes can occur. Therefore, it is forbidden to clean the brake pipes with a wire brush, sandpaper or a screwdriver.
- Check the brake pipes from the brake master cylinder to the wheel cylinders while carrying. The main brake cylinder is located in the engine compartment under the compensation tank of the brake system.
- Brake pipes must not be bent or dented. They should not have rust or scuffs. Otherwise, replace the tubing to the nearest connection.
- Brake hoses connect the brake pipes to the wheel cylinders on the moving parts of the car. They are made of material that can withstand high pressure, but can become porous over time, swell or be damaged by sharp objects. In any of these cases, they should be replaced immediately.
- To detect damage, bend the hoses in different directions. The hoses must not be installed twisted.
- Turn the steering wheel left and right as far as it will go. Brake hoses in both positions must not touch vehicle parts.
- Places of connection of tubes and hoses must not be wet from escaping brake fluid.
- lower the car, see par. 29.
