When working under the vehicle, unless it is a lifting ramp, the vehicle must be placed on four stable stands. Never work under a vehicle unless it is properly secured.
- Raise the vehicle only when unladen.
- To prevent damage to the body when lifting, use suitable rubber and wood pads.
- Wheels that remain on the ground when the vehicle is lifted must be chocked front and rear. Do not rely on the handbrake, some repairs require it to be released.
- Raise the vehicle only on level, firm ground.
Caution: When lifting the vehicle on soft ground, place wide boards under the jack and stands to spread the weight over a larger area.
- Place the vehicle on stands with one foot on each side facing out.
Attention: Never use parts of the engine and gearbox, as well as elements of the front and rear suspension, to lift or support. Do not start the engine with the vehicle raised and do not engage gears.
- If the rear wheel suspension, fuel tank, spare wheel or rear shock absorber needs to be removed on a raised vehicle, the vehicle must be loaded from the rear or supported from the front to prevent a shift in the center of gravity.
Anchor points for props, board jack or lifting ramp.
Anchor points on the lower crossbar are marked with serifs. Substitute the jack under the serifs, while the channel channel should lie in the grip of the jack.
Anchor points for industrial jack and lifting ramp (issue 1 84 to 8 88).
Anchor points for industrial jack and lifting ramp (from 9.88 to 3 92)
Raise the car at one of the specified points. At the front, the reference point is on the lower cross member of the engine, at the rear it is above the tow hook. However, as a precaution, you should always use stands at the side anchor points (for board jack and lifting ramp).
- On fig. K-6802 shows reference points for front wheel drive vehicles. On 4WD vehicles, the rear pivot point is directly below the differential.
