Before charging, disconnect the plus and ground from the battery, first the ground wire.
Before charging, check the electrolyte level, if necessary add distilled water.
Before charging, the battery must have a temperature of at least 10°C. Allow a frozen battery to thaw before charging. A charged battery freezes at -65°C, a half-charged one at -30°C and a discharged one at -12°C.
Charge the battery only in a well-ventilated area. Keep the hood open when charging the battery on the vehicle.
During normal charging, the charging current is approximately 10% of the capacity. (With a 50 Ah battery - about 5.0 A). Under this condition, you can take an approximate charging time of 10 hours.
Connect the positive pole of the battery to the positive pole, the negative pole of the battery to the negative pole of the charger.
During charging, the temperature of the electrolyte must not exceed +55°C, otherwise, interrupt charging or reduce the charging current.
Charge until all the cans are venting profusely and until in three consecutive measurements, after one hour, the density of the electrolyte and the voltage stop increasing.
After charging, check the electrolyte level, top up with distilled water if necessary.
Attention: Do not let the engine run with the battery disconnected, as this will damage the electrical equipment.
Fast Charging / Engine Start Assist ("smoking")
Fast charging and engine start from "cigarette lighter", produced from a quick charger - can only be produced as an exception, since the battery at the same time gives or receives high currents for a short time. Batteries that have been stored for a long time cannot be charged with a quick charger. Follow the battery storage instructions.
