If the brake light does not light up, check the fuse in the fuse box first.
If the fuse is OK, check and, if necessary, replace the brake light bulb.
If the stop lamps are OK, check the stop lamp switch. It is located on the bracket above the brake pedal. When you press the pedal, the push pin comes out of the switch. The switch contact closes and the brake light comes on.
Check the brake light switch. To do this, remove the 2 cable connectors from the brake light switch. Turn on the ignition.
Close both pins of the connector with a jumper. If the brake light comes on, the brake light switch is faulty.
Replace brake light switch.
