Checking the windshield wiper
First find out if the wiper motor or power supply is defective. To do this, proceed as follows:
Disconnect the wiper motor connector.
Apply voltage with auxiliary wire (+) from the battery terminal to terminal 2. (The negative pole of the motor is already connected to the terminal (-) battery through body).
The wiper motor should run at 1 speed (slowly). If not, then the failure of either the motor or the 1st stage of the switch.
Connect the positive wire together with terminal 2 to terminal 1 on the right. The wiper motor should run at a fast rate (stage 2).
By short-term connection, start the motor from any position, except for the end position.
Bridge terminals 2 and 3.
Connect the positive battery terminal to terminal 4 and check the engine stops in the end position after it has started.
Checking the rear window wiper: Connect the positive of the battery to pin 3 of the connector and check that the motor is running. Then bridge pins 1 and 2 and connect the battery plus to pin 3. The motor should start and stop in the end position.
If the motor does not work correctly, install a new one, see point 26.3.
