On the front wheels, increased wear on the edges of the running surface of the tire in relation to the middle is normal, and due to the inclination of the road, more significant wear is observed on the edge of the tire facing the middle of the road (left wheel: outer edge; right wheel: inner edge of the tire).
Uneven tire wear should most often be attributed to low or high tire pressure or wheel imbalance, as well as to defects in the shock absorber and rim.
Sawtooth wear of the tire profile is usually the result of overloading the vehicle.
First of all, you should follow the prescribed tire pressure and check the pressure at least once every 4 weeks.
Check the pressure only in cold tires, the pressure in the tire increases when warmed up during fast movement. However, it is completely wrong to deflate a hot tire.
With increased pressure, the middle of the working surface of the tire wears out more, since the curvature of the profile increases due to the high internal pressure.
With reduced pressure, the tire is more adjacent to the road with the edges of the working surface, and the middle of the profile bends inward. This results in increased wear on the edges of the tire profile.
Incorrect wheel alignment and imbalance produce the characteristic wear patterns that are indicated in the tire troubleshooting section.
