Additional transverse link (panhard rod), attached to the body and the rear suspension, serves as a side support for the rear suspension. Suspension damping is carried out by 2 spring struts.
Note: The figure shows the rear suspension of vehicles with front-wheel drive from August 1988. Previous models have different rear suspension mountings. Shock absorbers and coil springs are mounted separately. On the LANCER Combi from September 1985, the design of the suspension body and trailing arms is similar to that of vehicles built after September 1988.
