Removing
Disconnect the earth cable from the battery.
Attention: This erases data in the electronic memory, such as the engine fault memory or the radio code. Disconnect the battery only when the ignition is off, otherwise the control unit of the fuel injection device may fail. Before disconnecting the battery, read the instructions in sections "Radio" And "Removing and installing the battery".
Take off the radio see point 25.5.
Remove the steering wheel see 16.3.
Remove the dashboard see point 25.1.
Remove the middle console see 20.15.
Remove the foot warmer duct under the switch panel.
pull out "glove box" from the mount to the top.
Disconnect and remove the lower shelf.
Remove steering column trim: To do this, remove lower trim. Disconnect the light switch and wiper switch connector and remove the top trim.
Remove bottom trim.
Remove corner trim.
Using a wide screwdriver, pry off the heater control panel cover.
Disconnect the heater control panel and pull it out a little, the cables remain connected.
Remove side trims on left and right in driver and front passenger area.
Pull out the ashtray.
Disconnect the cables behind the board from the dashboard.
Remove the caps from the bolts at the top in the middle of the dashboard.
Remove all screws and nuts securing the dashboard and pull out the dashboard.
Installation
The removed parts of the dashboard are installed in the reverse order. Be careful not to pinch the wires.
Connect ground cable to battery.
If available, set the time on the clock and enter the security code into the radio.
