From the door lock, 3 rods go to the inner and outer door handles, as well as to the button of the central locking device.
Removing
Remove door window glass.
Central locking device. Disconnect the actuator motor connector and remove the actuator motor.
LANCER from 9.88: Remove the inner button of the locking device from the rod.
Loosen the 2 inner link bolts and disconnect the connecting rod.
Detach the connecting rod with the lock from the outer handle. To do this, break the retaining ring with a screwdriver. When installing, a new ring must be installed. Pull out the outside door handle.
Disconnect the connecting rod from the lock cylinder.
Remove 3 screws on the back of the door and pull out the door lock.
To remove the lock cylinder, pull the bracket in the door sideways with pliers and remove the cylinder.
Installation
Lubricate the sliding surfaces and hinges of the door lock, as well as the door handles and the lock cylinder with universal grease.
Insert the lock cylinder and insert the retaining clip from the side.
Insert and secure the door lock. Connect the rods to the outer handle and to the lock cylinder.
Insert the outer door handle and insert the rod with a new circlip.
Insert the inner handle. The handle should deviate by B \u003d 4-10 mm without tangible resistance. Tighten the screws in this position.
Central locking device. Install the internal lock button and the door lock actuator with the lever in position "Closed". Plug the connector onto the actuator motor.
Install window glass and door trim.
