Warning: It is recommended to try the paint on some suitable metal, such as an old fender.
For painting, the place of painting must be dry and not dusty. Blow out with compressed air if possible.
Moisten the floor to collect dust.
Wipe the repair site with the surrounding surface with a silicone remover. Even better adhesion of the paint will be provided by rubbing the surface to be cleaned with silicone-free polishing paste.
Shake the spray can with paint for 2-3 minutes before use, otherwise paint smudges will form on the metal
When using Metallic varnish, spray a little paint on the cardboard to eliminate metal particles that have settled in the tube.
Large areas, both horizontal and vertical, are covered with a cross movement: Start painting outside the area to be painted and change the direction of movement also outside the surface to be painted.
Spray small surfaces in a spiral from outside to inside to eliminate an unnecessary large cloud of paint.
Aerosol packaging is carried out at a constant speed and at the same distance from the surface to be painted. The correct distance is approximately 25 cm.
If it is necessary to ensure that the undamaged paint is covered, as far as possible without noticeable transition, this is best achieved if the painting is carried out in at least four passes. With each subsequent pass, expand the application of paint by two to three centimeters.
Attention: If painting is carried out from a very close distance or if the movement is too slow or has an inconsistent speed, so-called paint runs will occur. This means that in some places there is a runoff of paint, as there is too much paint accumulated at one time. The same happens when a change in direction of movement is made over the painted surface.
Repeat the painting process with approximately 5 minute breaks for volatilization of solvents until the paint layer is sufficient. Shake the Metallic varnish between painting passes so that metal particles do not settle.
Attention: It is very difficult to get a color match when painting with Metallic varnish. Pigmentation (aluminum particle distribution) it works better when spraying from a distance of not 25, but 30 cm. There are tricks for color alignment: Slow hand movement and thus more oily application of the varnish gives a darker tone, and with a quick coating, the varnish appears lighter.
When painting with Metallic varnish, the primer layer of Metallic varnish is covered with a colorless varnish, only after that the Metallic varnish receives its characteristic gloss. Coloring is also done in a thin layer in three or four passes with pauses of several minutes. Before the first pass, the primer varnish must be weathered for at least thirty minutes. The colorless varnish must cover the surface by at least the width of the palm, for which the protective paper must be moved accordingly in advance.
Empty the aerosol can by turning it upside down and spraying until the paint is completely out.
Remove protective paper immediately after painting. If this is not done, the paint that has fallen on the paper may penetrate the surface of the body.
Dry the painted surface. The drying process can be accelerated with a drying lamp or a powerful photo lamp.
Attention: Do not use heaters with a fan, as this will cause the rising dust particles to settle on the fresh paint.
After the paint has dried, at least 48 hours later, carefully remove the paint deposits from the boundary surfaces with a soft polishing agent. At the same time, polish according to the longitudinal dimension of the car.
