4WD Easy select drive system — description and principle of operation

In the transfer case, the 2WD/4WD shift mechanism is a 2-bevel synchronizer. This makes it possible to switch between 2WD/4WD modes while driving and reduces shifting effort.

The transfer box type Easy select includes two main mechanisms:

• 2WD/4WD switching mechanism;
• upshift mechanism to downshift (and vice versa).

In this way, the desired wheel drive mode can be selected.
