Heavily loaded front wheel bearings require a certain preload. The amount of preload can be determined by the moment of resistance to rotation. You will need a torque wrench for this (pic. M2 5.008).
The moment of resistance to rotation should not exceed 2.5 Nm, and the rotation of the hub should be smooth, without jamming.
Checking the axial clearance of the front wheel hub bearing
Tighten the nut while holding the bolt (see fig. M2 5.009).
The check is carried out using a suitable measuring instrument.
The axial clearance must be 0 mm.
