Front bottom cover
The surface of the housing must not have cracks, chips or other damage.
The oil pump rotors must rotate freely and have adequate clearances.
Internal surfaces (oil pump housing and cover), in contact with the gears must not show signs of wear.
Balance shafts
1. Check that the oil holes are not clogged.
2. Check the surfaces of the shaft journals and bearings for wear and tear.
3. Check the clearances in the shaft bearings.
Nominal clearances in shaft bearings:
- front right bearing - 0.02-0.05 mm;
- front left bearing - 0.02-0.06 mm;
- rear bearings - 0.06-0.10 mm.
Oil pump clearances
With the outer and inner rotors installed, check the gap between the tooth combs.
The standard gap value is 0.11-0.24 mm.
Check the clearance between the gears and the plane of the cover.
The standard gap value is 0.04-0.10 mm.
Check clearance between housing and outer gear.
- The standard gap value is 0.10-0.18 mm;
- The maximum allowable value is 0.35 mm.
