1. Remove oil from the bearing surface and the crankshaft journal.
2. Cut off a piece of plastic gauge (1), the length of which corresponds to the width of the liner, and place it on the shaft journal along the axis.
3. Install the connecting rod cap and tighten the nuts as described above.
4. Unscrew the nuts, remove the cover and measure the width of the crumpled gauge at the widest part (using the scale supplied with the gauge).
The gap value obtained on the scale must be within acceptable limits.
Nominal clearance value: 0.030-0.055 mm;
Maximum allowable clearance: 0.10 mm.
