Check the thickness of the brake pads through the inspection hole.
Normal thickness value: 9.5 mm, minimum allowable thickness: 1.5 mm.
The pads should be replaced as a set, regardless of the thickness of some of them.
Attention: uneven pad wear can be caused by sticking of the brake caliper guides, as well as sticking of the pistons of the brake working cylinders.
The thickness of the disc should be measured with a micrometer 10 mm from the edge of the disc.
Normal disc thickness: 28.0 mm.
Minimum allowable thickness: 26.4 mm.
Checking the axial runout of the brake disc
This check is made using a dial indicator of displacements.
The measurement is taken 5 mm from the edge of the disc.
Maximum allowable runout: 0.06 mm.
