Checking the front and rear wheel bearings

Front wheel bearings

1. Remove the front wheel brake caliper and hang it out of the way.

2. Remove the brake disc from the hub.

3. Install a dial gauge and measure the axial movement of the hub. Axial movement must be absent (0 mm).

Rear wheel bearings

1. Measure the axial mobility of the rear axle shafts using an indicator. Acceptable limit: 0-0.25 mm.
