Heated rear window can be turned on when the ignition is on (ON).
To turn on the heating, press the button. After about 20 minutes, the heating will automatically turn off. To turn off the heating earlier, press the button again.
When the heated rear window is turned on, the indicator light turns on (A) in the instrument cluster (see fig. 71).
Note: If your vehicle is equipped with heated exterior mirrors, it will turn on at the same time as the heated rear window.
Heating, rear window is not designed to melt snow on the glass. Before turning on the heating, remove the snow from the glass.
To avoid discharging the battery, do not turn on the heated rear window while starting the engine or when the engine is not running. Once the glass is clear. turn on heating.
To clean the inside of the rear window, use a soft cloth, carefully running it along the defroster wires. Do this carefully so as not to damage the conductors.
Do not allow any objects to touch the inner surface of the rear window, as this may damage the heater conductors.
