Electronic brake force distribution (EBD) has its own electronic part with software and uses ABS actuators.
The EBD system is designed to monitor and control the rear wheel brakes to prevent them from locking up and is activated for a lower slip ratio at which the ABS is not working. The ABS system detects the deceleration of the vehicle and the slip of each wheel. If the rear wheel speed differs from the vehicle speed by a certain amount or more, the ABS system increases, maintains, lowers the TF pressure in the rear brakes through the solenoid valves of the hydraulic unit and then maintains the pressure as close as possible to the ideal frequency distribution curve.
