Checking the flatness of the front brake discs and adjusting

1. Remove the brake assembly and secure it with wire.

2. Temporarily install the disc with the mounting nut.

3. Install the measuring device 5 mm from the edge of the brake disc and check it for flatness. Limit value of fluctuations: 0.06 mm.



4. If the disc oscillation exceeds the limit, adjust it as follows:

• mark the place on the disk and the pin where the value is exceeded;
• remove the disc and check the axial play of the wheel hub (it shouldn't be);
• if there is play, disassemble the wheel hub and trunnion and check all the details;
• if there is no play, turn the disc (the marked place must not coincide with the marked pin), install it and check the plane again;
• if the vibrations cannot be corrected by turning the disk, grind it with a special device or replace it with a new one.
