On models with hydraulic drive, try not to allow pushing the pusher towards the clutch master cylinder during the adjustment of the pedal!
1. Remove carpets and floor mats, - clutch pedal height (A) called the distance from the central part of its block to the surface of the soundproof layer.
2. Measure the distance from the floor to the outer surface of the fully released pedal shoe. Compare the measurement result with the requirements of the Specifications (168÷171 mm: Mirage models and 176÷182 mm: Galant models).
3. Measure the backlash of the split finger against the pedal shoe (the nominal value is 1÷3 mm).
4. If the measurement results are out of range, correct accordingly (see below).
5. Turn the adjusting bolt until the pedal height is correct, then securely tighten the locknut.
6. On models equipped with a speed control system, disconnect the electrical wiring from the clutch sensor-switch and, by rotating the latter, adjust the pedal height accordingly.
7. By rotating the pusher, adjust the play of the split pin, - finally, do not forget to tighten the lock nut.
8. Make sure that the sensor-switch for opening the starter circuit is working properly when the clutch pedal is fully depressed.
