2. Remember to activate the anti-theft system before leaving the vehicle unattended.
Activation
1. Park the vehicle and turn off the engine.
2. Remove the key from the ignition lock.
3. Make sure all doors, as well as the hood and trunk lid, are (Sedan models) closed.
4. Lock the front doors and tailgate (station wagon models) key or remote control.
Note. On Wagon models, the tailgate can be locked at the same time as one of the front doors of the car.
5. After completing the above steps, the anti-theft warning light on the instrument panel will illuminate for approximately 20 seconds and then turn off to indicate that the system is on.
Note. If one of the vehicle's doors is opened while the warning lamp is active, the system will automatically deactivate.
6. The system can be activated even if not all doors, including the tailgate on Wagon models, are locked, as well as with the hood or trunk lid open (Sedan models).
7. Activation of the system is not possible if at least one of the car doors is not tightly closed, including the tailgate on the Universal models.
8. On Sedan models, the luggage compartment lid can be opened with the key even after the anti-theft system has been activated, which will be activated again after closing the lid.
Alarm mode
1. An alarm is triggered when the anti-theft alarm is on in the following cases:
- If when you try to open any of the doors, as well as the trunk lid of the car without a key or remote control;
- When trying to open the hood (outside or from the passenger compartment using the standard lever);
2. When any of the above conditions are met, the anti-theft alarm siren will turn on. The alarm lasts for 30 seconds and then automatically turns off.
3. Disabling the alarm can be done by turning the key in the lock of any of the doors / trunk lid (the key can be turned in any direction), as well as using the remote control.
Shutdown
The anti-theft system can be deactivated by unlocking any of the car doors with the key or remote control, as well as by turning the key in the ignition switch to the ACC or ON position.
Note. Reactivation of the system can only be done in a regular way (see the relevant subsection above).
Check of serviceability of functioning of anticreeping system
1. Lower the driver's door glass.
2. Activate the system.
3. Be convinced of serviceability of operation of a control lamp.
4. Check the correct operation of the sound signal by opening the hood or trunk lid from the passenger compartment (Sedan models)
5. Disable the system by opening any of the vehicle doors with the key or remote control.
