1. The support is built into the body of the lower suspension arm and, in case of wear, is replaced as an assembly with the latter (see Section Removal and installation of lower front suspension arms).
2. Jack up the car and place it on jack stands so that the wheels are completely off the ground.
3. Grasp the upper edge of the wheel and pull it in the plane of the axis of the drive shaft. The presence of the slightest signs of play in the landing of the lever in the steering knuckle is a sign of wear on the ball joint - replace the lever assembly.
4. The support must also be replaced if its ball pin turns in its seat by hand.
