Check of a reverse motion of the traction relay of a starter

1. Disconnect the excitation coil contacts from the M terminal of the traction relay.

2. Connect the battery between the M terminal and the car body (pic. 7.19).



3. Extend the drive gear by hand and release. If the gear returns to its original position, the relay is OK. If not, replace it.

Attention! Be careful not to pinch your fingers when pulling out the gear.
