Engine Diagnostic Trouble Codes
Engine diagnostic trouble codes are the same as for 4G1 engine, but there are two more codes to consider:
- P0100 - air flow meter and related parts;
- P0551 - power steering oil pressure sensor.
Checking the engine control unit
Checking the voltage between the terminals of the engine control unit
The location of the connector terminals of the engine control unit on a car with a manual transmission is shown in fig. 17.4, on a car with automatic transmission - in fig. 17.5. The test values are shown in Table 17.5.

Checking the resistance between the terminals of the engine control unit
The location of the connector terminals of the engine control unit on a car with a manual transmission is shown in fig. 17.6, on a car with automatic transmission - in fig. 17.7. The resistance values are given in table 17.6.
