Valve stem guide — check

1. Measure clearance between valve guide and valve stem (pic. 2.24). If the measured value is greater than the allowable value, the valve guide or the valve itself (or both parts) must be replaced with new ones.



Normal value: inlet valve - 0.02-0.05mm, exhaust valve - 0.05-0.09mm. Acceptable value: inlet valve - 0.10 mm, exhaust valve - 0.15 mm.
