Valves — check

1. Check the valve disc for tightness. Correct it if necessary. The working surface of the valve seat must be in the middle of the valve disc and evenly distributed around the entire circumference.

2. If the height of the valve disc is less than acceptable, replace it (pic. 3.46).



Normal value: intake valve - 1.0 mm, exhaust valve - 1.5 mm.

Limit value: intake valve - 0.5 mm, exhaust valve - 1.0 mm.

3. Measure the overall length of the valve. If the value obtained is less than required, the valve must be replaced.
