Cylinder head — check

1. Using a fine ruler and feeler gauge, check the deformation of the cylinder head sealing surface (pic. 3.45). If the deformation exceeds the maximum allowable value, the surface is ground to the required size.



Deformation of the sealing surface:

• Nominal value: 0.05 mm or less.
• Limit value: 0.2 mm.
• Final lapping: 0.2 mm.

Block head height (in new condition):

• SOHC 12V: 106.9-107.1 mm.
• SOHC 16V: 119.9-120.1 mm.
• DOHC: 131.9-132.1 mm.
