ABS warning light
The anti-lock brake system warning light should come on when the ignition is switched on and go out after about 3 seconds. If the warning light does not come on, this indicates that the anti-lock brake system is not working and only the standard brake system is working.
If the light comes on while the vehicle is moving:
- stop the vehicle in a safe place and turn off the engine. Start the engine again and see if the light goes out. If it goes out and does not light up during the subsequent movement, then everything is in order. However, if the light does not go out or comes back on while driving, have the vehicle checked by an authorized Mitsubishi dealer as soon as possible.
- after starting the engine from an external source of electricity (via connecting wires), if you try to drive the vehicle before the battery is sufficiently charged, the engine will run erratically and the anti-lock brake warning light will flash to indicate that the vehicle should not be driven. However, this situation is simply caused by insufficient battery voltage and is not abnormal. If it occurs, let the engine idle for a while to charge the battery.
