Elements of the intermediate (secondary) shaft
1, 10 - bearing; 2 - bearing race; 3 - needle bearing; 4 - gear wheel of the 1st gear; 3 - synchronizer ring; 6 - sleeve of the synchronizer of the 1st and 2nd gears; 7 - synchronizer hub; 8 - 2nd gear gear; 9 - intermediate shaft.
Disassembly
Using a tool, remove the lock washer, bearing, 1st gear and bearing race.
Remove the synchronizer ring, synchronizer spring, 1st and 2nd gear synchronizer sleeve and 1st and 2nd gear synchronizer hub.
Remove the synchronizer ring, remove the 2nd gear and needle bearing.
Remove remaining parts and bearing.
Check the condition of the outer surface of the intermediate shaft at the installation location of the needle bearing (arrow).
Check the condition of the intermediate shaft splines.
By aligning the needle bearing with the shaft or bushing and gear, check for smooth rotation.
Check the needle bearing cage.
Assembly
Assembly is carried out in the reverse order.
