External elements of the 4G93 DOHC engine
1 - vacuum hoses; 2 - heater hoses; 3 - hoses of the cooling system; 4 - knock sensor connector; 5 - throttle position sensor connector; 6 - idle speed controller connector; 7 - fuel return hose; 8 - vacuum hose of the brake booster; 9 - high pressure fuel hose; 10 - oil pressure switch; 11 - ignition system sensor; 12 - seal; 13 - gas pedal cable; 14 - coolant temperature sensor connector; 13 - connector for the sensor of the coolant temperature indicator; 16 - ignition coil connector; 17 - top cover; 18 - camshaft position sensor connector; 19 - connector of the crankshaft position sensor; 20 - injector connector.
Engine mounts 4G93 D0HC
1 - exhaust pipe of the exhaust system; 2 - generator connector; 3 - engine; 4 - engine support; 3 - connector of the sensor-indicator of fluid pressure in the steering pump circuit; 6 - air conditioner compressor connector; 7 - power steering pump; 8 - air conditioner compressor; 9 - V-ribbed belt for steering pump drive
Removing
Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.
Relieve fuel pressure in the fuel system.
Drain the coolant from the engine cooling system.
Remove the hood.
Remove the radiator.
Remove the gearbox.
Disconnect the accelerator pedal cable.
Disconnect the connectors for the throttle position sensor, idle speed control, knock sensor, ignition sensor oil pressure sensor, coolant temperature sensor, coolant temperature indicator sensor and injector.
Remove the top cover.
Disconnect the ignition coil, camshaft position sensor, and crankshaft position sensor connectors.
Remove the fuel return hose.
Disconnect the high pressure fuel hose and seal.
Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose.
Disconnect the coolant hoses.
Disconnect heater hoses.
Disconnect the A/C compressor and alternator power steering fluid pressure sensor connectors.
After loosening the tension, remove the power steering pump and air conditioning compressor drive belt.
Disconnect the power steering pump along with the hoses connected to it and tie it up with a wire to the car body.
Disconnect the A/C compressor and tie it up with a wire to the car body.
Disconnect a reception pipe of system of release of the fulfilled gases.
Place a jack under the engine.
Attach the engine to the winch.
Insert a piece of wood between the jack foot and the engine oil sump and raise the engine slightly to take the engine weight off the support.
Remove the engine mount.
Check that all the elements that prevent the removal of the engine are disconnected from the engine, and then slowly remove the engine upwards from the engine compartment.
Installation
The engine is installed in the reverse order.
