To avoid injury to people or failure of the electronic ignition system, the following precautions must be observed:
Do not touch or remove the ignition wires while the engine is running or the starter is running.
Disconnect the ignition wires only when the ignition is off.
Connect and disconnect the wires of measuring devices only with the ignition off.
Do not connect a radio interference suppression capacitor or test lamp to the ground terminal of the ignition coil.
Measuring instruments and a stroboscope must not be connected to the positive terminal of the ignition coil while the engine is running.
Do not replace the ignition coil with a coil of another type.
Do not heat up the car to temperatures above 8°C, for example, painting, drying the car. Start the engine only when the car has cooled down.
Wash the car only with the ignition off.
Disconnect the battery completely for electric and spot welding.
