Throttle body mounting parts for models since 1999
1 - throttle position sensor connector; 2 - throttle body; 3 - gasket; 4 - throttle servo connector; 3 - cooling system hoses.
Removing
Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.
Drain the coolant from the cooling system.
Relieve fuel pressure in the fuel system.
With the intake air hose removed, disconnect the throttle position sensor connectors (1) and throttle servo (4) (see fig.).
Remove the cooling system hoses (5).
After unscrewing the bolts, remove the throttle body (2) and gasket (3).
Disassembly
With throttle body (2) unscrew the bolts and remove the throttle position sensor (1).
Installation
Position the throttle position sensor on the throttle body in position (A).
Turn the throttle position sensor counterclockwise and tighten the sensor mounting bolts.
Measure the resistance between pin 1 (power supply to the sensor) and output 2 (throttle position sensor channel 1 output), as well as between pin 1 and pin 4 (Throttle position sensor channel 2 output). Write down the results.
Slowly open the throttle to the fully open position, the resistance should change smoothly according to the throttle opening angle.
If the value of the measured voltage does not correspond to the required values or does not change smoothly, then it is necessary to replace the throttle position sensor.
Install the gasket so that its protruding part (B) located between the intake manifold and the throttle body as shown in the figure.
If it is necessary to replace the throttle body, reset the electronic throttle control system. For this:
Turn the ignition key to the ON position (ON) and then within one second move it to the position (LOCK-OFF). Leave the ignition key in the LOCK-OFF position for at least 10 seconds.
After pouring coolant into the engine cooling system, install the intake air hose.
