Bleeding air from the fuel system

The fuel system includes the fuel tank, fuel lines, high pressure fuel pump (injection pump) with injectors and fuel filter.

If there is no fuel supply, air must be bled from the system. For this:

Fill the injection pump and fuel filter with diesel fuel by priming the system with a hand pump.

In addition, if diesel fuel gets on the coolant hoses, the hoses should be wiped immediately.
