It is very rarely necessary to replace two mufflers at the same time, however, as luck would have it, the next one fails after a few months. Therefore, they often change the entire exhaust tract as a whole. We do not insist on doing this, since the individual parts of the car's exhaust tract are simply connected to each other. Removing a separate part of the pipe can be done without much difficulty.
Tap the faulty muffler around the circle with a hammer, as well as from the ends. In this case, you should not hit too hard.
If a clear sound is heard with each blow, it means that the tin has already become thinner and will soon collapse, especially if it is winter and the road is sprinkled with salt.
Support the vehicle by securing it securely.
If the threaded connection does not lend itself during dismantling, do not rotate the bolt together with the nut in a circle, but try to break the bolt (in this case it breaks off. The exception is the threaded connections on the engine exhaust manifold.
The threads of the threaded connections of the exhaust tract must be lubricated with a grease containing copper before installation.
When installing, you need to position the system so that there is no interference.
When installing parts of the exhaust tract, all threaded connections are not completely tightened at first.
Suspend the exhaust tract with suspension mounts to the bottom of the vehicle.
All suspension mounts must be at the same distance, otherwise the parts of the exhaust tract must be repositioned.
Tighten all threaded connections of the exhaust tract, starting from the front.
ATTENTION: All parts of the exhaust tract must be sufficiently removed from the body.
