Hydropushers — replacement (4G93 DOHC, 16 valves)

Turn the crankshaft so that the pistons are below TDC, so that when replacing the hydraulic pushers, the valves cannot hit the pistons. In some positions, the rocker arms are raised by the camshaft cams, and therefore the hydraulic tappets cannot be removed. In these cases, the crankshaft must take such a position that the rocker arms of the valves would not be raised.

fixture (1) move the valve down and remove the valve rocker with roller tappet.



Remove the hydraulic lifter from the cylinder head.

Install a new hydraulic pusher, from which air has been removed.

With the same fixture (1) lower the valve and install the valve rocker with roller tappet.

ATTENTION: When installing the roller rocker arm of the valve, first install its shoulder on the upper part of the hydraulic pusher, then, pressing the valve down, insert the rest of the rocker arm onto the upper end of the valve stem.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order, taking into account the fact that when pressing in the camshaft oil seal, it is necessary to use a special tool.



To fix the camshaft pulley from turning, use a special tool (same as for removal), and then tighten the bolt to 88 Nm.

Install the ignition switch.

Install the timing belt.
