Depending on the model and year of manufacture (from 1991 to 2004), Mitsubishi Colt cars were equipped with four-cylinder and six-cylinder gasoline engines with one or two camshafts, as well as four-cylinder diesel engines with one camshaft.
This part is devoted to the description of repair procedures for the engine without removing it from the car. All information regarding the removal and installation of the engine block and cylinder head rebuild is given in next part.
The following procedure descriptions are based on the assumption that the engine is installed in the vehicle. If the engine has been removed from the vehicle and mounted on a bench, many of the processes described in this section do not need to be performed.
