Removing
Disconnect the ground wire from the battery. Disconnect the battery only when the ignition is off.
Place a container under the fuel filter to collect fuel.
Remove the air filter.
Relieve pressure in the fuel system.
While holding the fuel filter mounting nut, loosen the hollow bolt.
Unscrew the lower fuel pipe from the filter and remove the fuel filter.
Insert and screw on a new fuel filter with new gaskets. Tighten the hollow bolt to 35 Nm.
To start the fuel pump, apply battery voltage to the fuel pump terminal through the auxiliary wire.
After pressurizing the fuel system, check the connections for leaks.
Disconnect the auxiliary wire.
Connect the battery.
If available, set the clock to the time and enter the security code into the radio.
