Exterior muffler inspection

Raise the vehicle.

Check the fastening of the brackets and clamps for strength.

Check the muffler with the carrier for burnouts, rust spots, and abrasions.

Replace severely dented muffler pipes.

Check rubber bushings for porosity, replace if necessary.

Lower the car.

On vehicles with a catalytic converter, check the electrical connection and tightness of the lambda probe.
