Checking the oil level

The oil level should be checked approximately every 1000 km. Oil consumption per 1000 km of run should be no more than 1 liter. More flow means worn valve stem seals or piston rings or oil seals.

• To measure the oil level, park the vehicle on a level surface.
• Warm up the engine to operating temperature.
• After stopping the engine, wait for the oil to drain into the oil pan.
• Remove the dipstick by wiping it with a clean cloth.
• Then, inserting the probe until it stops, pull it out again. The oil level must be between the MAX and MIN·marks.
• Add new oil only when the oil level approaches the minimum mark, topping up is carried out through the oil filler neck on the cylinder head.
