Warm up the car while driving, the temperature of the oil in the gearbox is between 70°and 80°C.
Park the car on level ground.
With the engine running at idle, apply the handbrake. Sequentially shift to all positions with the shift lever from P to L and move the lever to position N.
Pull out the dipstick and wipe it with a clean cloth.
After inserting the probe until it stops, pull it out again.
The oil level should be up to the HOT mark. Otherwise, add oil to the automatic gearbox.
Pour oil into the box through the funnel provided for this purpose with a mesh through the hole for the oil dipstick. At a low level, the oil pump pumps air into the system, this can lead to malfunctioning of the box.
At a high level, the box overheats and the oil is squeezed out through the vent valve. Excess oil must be sucked off. Black oil in an automatic transmission with a burning smell should be replaced.
Fully insert the oil dipstick.
