Examination
Power window motors are removed in the same way as manual windows. Repair of electric motors is not provided.
If none of the door glass moves, check the fuse in the auxiliary fuse box.
If only one glass lift does not work, then you need to remove the corresponding switch from the holder and check it.
If the switch is OK, remove facing of a corresponding door.
Remove the plug from the power window motor and use a test light to check that power is being supplied to the power window when the switch is pressed.
If no faults are found, then the power window motor is faulty.
If the engine does not receive voltage, then you need to check the wiring or control unit.
Poor running of the glass can be caused by pinching its guide.
Actions in the event of a breakdown
If the lift glass switch fails, then use a piece of wire to connect the corresponding contacts in the plug. The desired contacts can be determined by touching the wire to different contacts, without fear of a short circuit.
If this is not possible, then remove the working switch, connect it to the power window plug and close the window.
In case of damage to the wires going to the engine, disconnect the plug, connect one auxiliary wire from the positive battery terminal, and the other from the ground to the electric motor and close the window.
If the engine is blocked, it is possible to separate the glass from the power window with the door trim removed.
Now lift the glass up and fix it in this position with a piece of wood.
