In cylinders, pistons press the brake pads against the brake discs or, on the rear wheels, the brake pads against the brake drums.
Fluid pressure is transmitted to the brake cylinders through two independent pipelines to the brake circuits.
If one circuit fails, the other circuit remains operational. Manual (the parking brake acts through the cables on the rear wheels.
ATTENTION: If one of the brake circuits fails, it is necessary to press the brake pedal with more force (with longer pedal travel), to get the same brake performance.
Elements of the brake system (models without ABS)
1 - front wheel brake; 2 - main brake cylinder; 3 - hydraulic booster; 4 - run brake; 5 - rear wheel brake; 6 - pedal.
