Removing
1. Disconnect the wires and remove the battery and shelf. Remove the air filter.
2. Raise the vehicle and place it on stands.
3. Drain the automatic transmission fluid.
4. Remove the torque converter housing.
8.5 Mark the installation position of the torque converter on the drive plate with white paint
5. Mark the installation position of the torque converter on the drive plate with white paint (8.5).
6. Turn off three bolts of fastening of the hydrotransformer to a leading disk.
7. Remove the starter.
8. Disconnect half shafts from a transmission.
9. Disconnect all vacuum hoses, wires and cables from a transmission.
10. Establish support under the engine and a transmission.
11. Remove the suspension elements that prevent the removal of the gearbox.
12. Remove the bolts securing the gearbox to the engine.
13. Turn off nuts and bolts and disconnect fastening of a transmission.
14. Slightly lower a transmission, disconnect and plug pipes of system of cooling.
15. Take a transmission from the engine and remove it from the car.
Installation
16. Before installing, check that the torque converter hub is securely installed in the pump.
17. Lift a transmission into place and connect hoses of system of cooling.
18. Rotate the torque converter so that the holes for the mounting bolts and the marks made earlier are aligned.
19. Install the gearbox on the engine.
20. Establish bolts of fastening of a transmission to the engine and reliably tighten them. Install the gearbox mount.
21. Insert bolts of fastening of the hydrotransformer to a leading disk and twist them up to the demanded moment of an inhaling.
22. Install all previously removed elements and tighten the bolts and nuts to the required torque.
23. Fill with automatic transmission fluid and road test.
