24.2a Place the gland housing on wooden blocks and knock out the old gland
2. Remove the old oil seal from the casing, noting the depth of its installation. Clean the casing, lubricate the outer edge of the new oil seal and install it in the casing (24.2a and 24.2b).
24.2b Install the new oil seal in the casing using a block of wood or a piece of pipe
3. Grease an internal edge of an epiploon and establish it on a cranked shaft and the block of cylinders. Use a new gasket and sealant.
4. Gradually tighten the mounting bolts.
5. Install the oil protection ring with the hole down.
